SaaS
Product foundations that survive growth
SaaS development is building a subscription software product: multi-tenant accounts, billing, permissions and the admin tools behind them. Criza builds it for founders and companies launching or rebuilding a product. This describes an area we build for, not a list of past clients.
What we build for this sector
Multi-tenant platforms
Organisations, seats and roles with strict boundaries between customer data.
Subscription billing
Plans, trials, upgrades, invoices and failed-payment recovery through a provider that handles tax and cards.
Onboarding and activation
Guided setup, sample data and progress indication so a new account reaches value in the first session.
Business automation
Usage reporting, internal alerts and back-office workflows that keep the team out of the admin panel.
What's included
- Organisations, seats and roles
- Trial and subscription management
- Server-enforced plan entitlements
- Admin and support views
- Usage reporting and alerts
- Public API for customer integrations
How long it takes and what it costs
How long does it take?
Depends on scope. You get a written milestone schedule with your quote, and a realistic estimate rather than one designed to win the job.
What does it cost?
Fixed quote after a free 30-minute call. The scope is written down first, including anything specific to your sector.
Common problems in this sector
Billing that leaks revenue
Failed payments, plan changes and cancellations handled by hand turn into silent churn and manual invoices.
Tenant isolation as an afterthought
Retrofitting separation between customer data is one of the most expensive changes a young product can face.
Support without visibility
Nobody can see what a customer actually sees, so every issue becomes a call and a guess.
Where software helps most
Billing wired into the product
Plans, trials, upgrades and dunning handled by a subscription provider with entitlements enforced server-side.
Clean multi-tenancy
Data isolation, per-tenant configuration and permissions designed in from the first schema.
Support tooling
A staff view of accounts, usage and events that answers questions without impersonation.
Tools we typically use
- React
- Node.js
- PostgreSQL
- Stripe
- Row-level security
- Docker
Frequently asked questions
Can you build the first version, or only extend an existing product?
Both. For a first version we focus on the smallest set of features that proves the value, with tenancy and billing done properly so growth does not force a rewrite.
How do you handle subscription billing?
Through Stripe or an equivalent provider, so card data and tax stay on their side. Entitlements are enforced on the server on every request, never by hiding buttons.
Who owns the code and infrastructure?
You do. Repositories, cloud accounts and documentation are handed over, and there is no proprietary layer that only we can maintain.
