E-Commerce Development
Storefronts built to sell, not just launch
E-commerce development is building an online store and the order handling behind it: catalogue, checkout, payments and inventory. Criza builds for retailers and brands that need more than a default theme, on a hosted platform like Shopify or on a custom stack when the rules are unusual.
What's included
Custom storefronts
A catalogue and shopping experience designed around your products, with speed and clarity taking priority over template features you will never use.
Product and catalogue structure
Variants, categories, filters and search arranged so customers find the right item without knowing your internal naming.
Payment integration
Card, wallet and regionally appropriate payment methods with a checkout that behaves the same in every browser and on every device.
Inventory and order processing
Stock levels, order status, packing and fulfilment notifications connected so the customer sees the truth.
Custom e-commerce platforms
For businesses whose pricing, subscriptions or B2B rules do not fit a standard cart — built properly rather than forced into plugins.
Analytics and measurement
The events that actually matter: product views, add-to-cart, checkout steps and purchases, tracked without collecting more personal data than necessary.

How long it takes and what it costs
How long does it take?
Depends on scope. You get a written milestone schedule with your quote, and a realistic estimate rather than one designed to win the job.
What does it cost?
Fixed quote after a free 30-minute call. We recommend a hosted platform when it fits, because it is usually the cheaper route.
The problems this fixes
Abandoned checkouts
Hidden costs, forced accounts and slow pages lose buyers who were ready to pay. Most recovery is design and performance, not discounts.
Stock that lies
Selling the last item twice, or promising delivery an inventory system cannot meet — because the shop and the warehouse are separate islands.
Manual order handling
Every order is copied by hand into invoices and spreadsheets, which works at ten orders a day and fails at a hundred.

Frequently asked questions
Shopify or custom?
Shopify when the catalogue and rules are standard and speed to market matters. Custom when pricing, subscriptions, B2B terms or fulfilment logic would need a pile of plugins to approximate.
Can you connect our existing inventory system?
Yes. Most inventory and ERP tools expose an API or a scheduled export; we sync products, stock and orders and define what happens when a request fails.
How do you handle payments and security?
Payments run through a PCI-compliant provider such as Stripe, so card details never touch our servers. Access to the admin is role-based and logged.
Will the store be fast on mobile?
That is a launch requirement, not a later optimisation. We test on mid-range devices and real mobile networks, because that is where most store traffic comes from.
